Me Ivan Skafar

Lawyer

Me Skafar has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2017. He holds both undergraduate and graduate law degrees from the Université de Montréal. Prior to joining the Hasa Avocats team, he gained valuable legal experience at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and completed three mandates with Avocats Sans Frontières in Haiti, Colombia, and Guatemala. In addition to his legal training, Me Skafar holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from McGill University, with a focus on biodiversity and conservation. He regularly represents clients before the Federal Court and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, with a practice that emphasizes the humanitarian side of immigration law while also encompassing economic immigration matters. He is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
